The new European standard EN16636, developed in the field of pest control, in cooperation with experts from national standards institutes in Europe and CEN, the Bureau of European Standards. This standard is designed to raise the bar for pest control services at facilities of various types.

CEPA President Bertrand Montmoreau believes that the launch of the CEN and CEPA Certified standard will help raise the bar for both parties – CEPA members (pest control service operators) and their customers. “This is a positive step that can only bring good things for all participants in the pest control market. The standard will ensure that the pest control companies certified to it are the benchmark, the best in Europe, which is of great benefit to customers as well,” he said. “We know that in many European markets, there are some pest control companies that are not trained and provide services in an unprofessional manner, do not follow developments in the field of pest control, do not study the legislation, etc., which can create big problems for all of us. But with the new standard and certification scheme, customers can be fully confident that they are getting a professional service.”

The management of SPECSPECTR LLC also believes that it is time to “legalize” pest control activities and set out a certain framework for market operators.

“Since pest control activities in Ukraine are not regulated at the legislative level, this standard will finally become a certain benchmark for the proper operation of pest control companies. I believe that Ukraine is a European country, which means that our customers should receive a European-level pest control service,” said Anna Kholotova, CEO of Specspectr Int.
