Controlled fumigation under the film
The fumigation was carried out in the Kyiv region, Brovary district, Peremoha village, in a specialized tent that does not allow moisture to penetrate and does not collect condensation, which is an important factor in performing these works. Therefore, the fumigation process has become easier and more affordable.

All the products that were infected with the Suriman mealybug (Oryzaephilus surinamensis) were moved to the middle of the tent, covered with foil on both sides and sealed. This sealed sleeve was previously filled with the drug Fostoxin, manufactured by Detia Degesch in Germany.
The entire fumigation process takes +-10 days (depending on temperature conditions) and from the moment of application. Prior to degassing, the phosphine level under the film is measured using a tubular gas analyzer to check the quality of the fumigation. Only after the phosphine level is measured, the product is degassed.
