On May 20, 2024, a meeting was held in Ivano-Frankivsk to discuss the prospects of the pest control industry in terms of infectious disease prevention. The event was attended by Ruslan Savchuk, Director General of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Tamara Pidberezniak, President of the Fumigation Association and Director of Pest Control Ukraine, and Anna Holostova, Founder of the pest control company Specspektr.
The main topic of the meeting was the current challenges and prospects for the development of the industry, as well as the importance of cooperation between government, public and private entities for effective and systematic pest control. Ruslan Mykolayovych emphasized the need for constant monitoring of the epidemiological situation in the region and the importance of timely response to any threats.
Tamara Pidbereznyak emphasized the role of fumigation in ensuring food and crop safety and stressed the need to improve the regulatory framework and professional development of urban pest control specialists. Anna Kholostova, in turn, shared her experience in implementing modern technologies and methods of pest control that help to increase the effectiveness of pest control.
