A landmark meeting with Professor Yevhen Petrovych Bilobrovyv

On September 3, a landmark meeting was held between Anna Kholostova, President of the Public Union Pest Control Ukraine, CEO of Spetsspectrum, and Yevhen Bilobrov, MD, PhD, Professor. The central topic of the discussion was marine fumigation and fumigation of agricultural products – an important area in the field of food protection against pests.

Maritime fumigation is a critical component in ensuring the safety and quality of goods during long transportation processes. The meeting discussed modern fumigation methods, their effectiveness and ways to optimize them to reduce the risks associated with pests and other biological threats that may affect the integrity of cargo.

Particularly noteworthy was the presentation of Professor Bilobrov’s new book “Marine Fumigation of Cargoes”. This publication offers a comprehensive approach to maritime fumigation, revealing key aspects of the process, including techniques, recommendations and practical cases.

It also emphasizes the need to develop fumigation of agricultural goods in storage facilities, the development of appropriate methodological instructions and the appropriate qualifications of personnel authorized to perform these types of work.
